“SIPS & BITES ON THE BAY” SETS SAIL FROM THE PORT OF SAN FRANCISCO

San Francisco, Calif. — Take a trip back to an era of classy cocktail parties and epicurean elegance aboard Franklin D. Roosevelt’s historic USS Potomac. Sponsored by the soon-to-be launched Foggy Bridge Winery, “Sips & Bites on the Bay” is an opportunity for San Franciscans and visitors alike to enjoy fine wine and creative cuisine against the backdrop of the stunning city skyline.

Guests will enjoy a selection of California wines while gazing at the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, sample a variety of hors d’oeuvres while envisioning their dream home on Telegraph Hill, or simply savor the pleasures of an afternoon at sea.

A breath of fresh sea air, a sip of fine wine and the taste of gourmet cuisine will revitalize the spirit in need of a break from the normal day-to-day routine. Not only a unique opportunity to sail the Bay in style, “Sips & Bites on the Bay” is also an ideal way to enjoy some of the finest wine and food Northern California has to offer while experiencing one of the country’s most historic vessels.

“Sips & Bites on the Bay” provides tastes of wine from Foggy Bridge Winery’s portfolio, which features select wines from California’s premier wine growing regions including a Napa Valley Cabernet, a Santa Maria Pinot Noir and a Sauvignon Blanc from Sonoma County. The wines will be paired with gourmet passed hors d’oeuvres provided by Left Bank Brasserie, creating a unique educational wine and food experience.

About “Sips & Bites on the Bay”
“Sips & Bites on the Bay” departs from the San Francisco Ferry Building’s Pier E and sails April through November on select Saturday afternoons from 4-6 p.m. and Sunday mornings from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Tickets are available for $150 per person, and group rates are also available. Fees include all wine and hors d’oeuvres and two hours of sailing time. Only passengers 12 years of age and older are permitted.
