Epicurean Elegance

Sips & Bites on the Bay is a San Francisco wine tasting experience paired with savory bites aboard Franklin D. Roosevelt's historic presidential yacht, the USS Potomac.

Guests are transported back to an era of epicurean elegance and sophistication, while enjoying fine wine paired with California cuisine - all against a backdrop of spectacular scenery and the landmarks of San Francisco Bay.

Foggy Bridge winemaker Daryl Groom selects each wine served onboard. Wines hail from notable California winegrowing regions, including Napa Valley, Sonoma County and the Central Coast. Seasonal bites are prepared by Left Bank, the Bay Area's premier French brasserie, and are designed to complement the wines. Wine and food pairings rotate frequently to reflect local, seasonal ingredients.

Guests are able to sip up to six wines during the two hour walk-around tasting experience, while exploring Franklin D. Roosevelt's radio room, bedrooms and envisioning his weekend retreat from daily White House demands. There is seating but no tables available on the USS Potomac.
